Not only was he nearly crippled by drug dealers in prison, Pete is now homeless after he was evicted from his nine-bedroom country mansion after his landlord found it destroyed. His landlord found the walls, floors and windows spotted with human blood and a strong stench of cat urine. A source told the Mirror:
"He destroyed the place by scribbling on the walls, the floor, anywhere he felt like it. The beautiful heavy curtains were ripped down and the cats are just running around abandoned. It's a really pathetic state of affairs."
Pete may have some help when he gets out of prison next month however, Stefano Passantino, founder of clothing website Lastseason.com has set up a "Pete Doherty Welfare Fund." He said,
"I'll do what I can to help Pete leave the bad stuff behind him. I'll give him a job, feed him, clothe him - but I won't wash him, that's asking too much."
